Bilingual Story Time

The first Thursday of each month from 4:00-5:00 p.m. the Watauga Public Library has a Bilingual Story time. (It says it is for children 6-10 years old, so I know that is older than our preschool age kiddos, but hopefully it is helpful to our SCP graduates. Maybe if there's enough interest they would add one for younger kids too.)

Enjoy stories in Spanish and English! Activities will teach participants about Spanish language and culture. A chance to learn, improve, and connect with Spanish language and heritage!

Wouldn't it be great if the other city libraries followed suit and offered this too? Hmm... maybe I've found my next project :)

Muchas gracias

Thank you for sharing your precious children with me during Spanish at preschool. We have such fun boarding our imaginary airplanes and flying off to Spanish-speaking countries!

I love seeing their interest in learning not only the Spanish language, but also how they take a genuine interest in the people and places ... the rich Latin culture. Every time we visited a new "country" I tried to emphasize the amazing God we serve who has uniquely created us, and that whether we speak English or Spanish, He is worthy of and understands our praise!

I hope this blog will be a help to you during the summer months (or as your child moves on to Kindergarten). Please know how much I enjoy your kiddos and thank God for their individual gifts and personalities.
